It is fun to have the option to track work down like this. I like the place comparisons.

What a wonderful trip, Amy. Thanks for sharing paintings along with photos of the subjects. Fascinating! It's reassuring to know that everything does not change.

Enjoyed seeing Vincent's haunts, especially his parents' apparently untouched homestead! Amazing that the laundry room 'studio' is fully intact! Thank you!

Interesting and fascinating article, I enjoyed seeing pics of the area and if I am not mistaken, He was born a year to the day after his brother? 1852 for Vincent than 1853 for Vincent. Same for his brother and sister named after the parents? Perhaps I read it wrong. Always interesting.

Glad you enjoyed the story. Yes, Theo and Anna were named after their parents. According to the museum display and the internet, Vincent lived 3/30/1853-7/29/1890 and Theo lived 5/1/1857-1/25/1891 (Theo died of syphilis, which he had been suffering from for quite a while).

Thanks Vicki. I was surprised and encouraged that so much of the village was preserved.
